Ingredients

  • 25 pitted dates
  • 200 g peanut butter
  • 50 g cashews and walnuts chopped
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g milk chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Arrange the dates tightly in a lined tray.
  • Spread peanut butter evenly over the dates.
  • Sprinkle chopped cashews and walnuts on top.
  • Melt dark and milk chocolate together.
  • Add 2 tbsp oil and mix until smooth.
  • Pour chocolate over the mixture and spread evenly.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • Use soft, fresh dates for a naturally sticky base (soak in warm water for 10 minutes if they are dry).
  • Press the dates tightly together so the base holds well when cutting.
  • Let peanut butter sit at room temperature for easier spreading.
  • Chop nuts finely for better texture and even crunch in every bite.
  • Don’t skip the oil in melted chocolate—it makes the topping smoother and shinier.
  • Chill long enough (at least 1 hour) so the bars set properly before cutting.
  • Use a sharp knife warmed in hot water for clean slices.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top to balance sweetness and enhance chocolate flavor.
