Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 cups flour adjust as needed

Filling:

  • Cheese shredded or sliced, melting type
  • Fresh parsley chopped

For Cooking:

  • 1 cup oil
  • 100 g butter

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix water, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour while kneading until you get a medium-soft dough. Cover and rest for 5 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each one out with a rolling pin.
  • Brush each piece with oil, then fold in half.
  • Brush the top with oil again, add cheese and parsley, then fold to seal completely.
  • Heat a pan over medium flame. Cook each flatbread slowly, brushing with butter, until golden and crispy on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Add the flour gradually — the amount needed can vary depending on the flour type. The dough should be soft but not sticky.
