Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 tea glass warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 5 g instant yeast ½ packet
  • 1 egg reserve yolk for topping
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 –4½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For the Beef Filling

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • For the Caramelized Onions
  • 2 large onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Additional Filling

  • Burger cheese slices
  • Roasted red pepper strips

Topping

  • Egg yolk
  • Sesame seeds

Burger Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 pickles finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Add egg white, salt, and flour gradually. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Add butter and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Cook onions with olive oil, salt, and sugar over low heat for about 15 minutes until caramelized. Let cool.
  • Mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, and molasses.
  • Divide dough into 10 equal portions and flatten each piece.
  • Place a portion of beef, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, and cheese in the center.
  • Seal the dough completely and shape into buns.
  • Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  • Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Mix all burger sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Serve warm with the burger sauce.

Notes

  • Use warm liquids, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
  • Allow the onions to caramelize slowly for the best flavor.
  • These buns freeze well for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
